DASPLETOSAURUS AND PTERANODON

Imagine you are a tiny mammal in Alberta, Canada during the Late Cretaceous. The ground trembles and then a shadow passes over you. You look up. Not one huge predator but two; the earth shaker is Daspletosaurus (frightful-lizard) a smaller and earlier relative of Tyrannosaurus (tyrant lizard), in the sky Pteranodon (wing-without-teeth) glides by on wings that could grow up to 9 meters (30 feet) across. Pteranodon was one of the last and largest of all the pterosaurs.
