BENNETTITALE
AND COMPSOGNATHUS
Two possible prey animals seek sanctuary from the tiny meat-eating Dinosaur Compsognathus (pretty-jaw),
on a Bennettitale. About the size of a big chicken, Compsognathus was still a voracious hunter of small prey such as early mammals and lizards. The Bennettitales were related to the Cycads but became extinct towards the end of the Cretaceous.
MEDIUM: Acrylic on canvas
300x1000mm (12x39.5ins)
